We are looking forward to the day we can take this notice off our door and fully reopen our Sanctuary. We are however pleased that for the past year we have managed to continue face to face frontline working, albeit in an adapted way. In fact, we have been able to have contact with more women than usual. We have been busy helping women access housing, health care and drug treatment as well as providing phones, food and emotional support.
It’s been great to increase our partnership working with many other services and organisations such as Leeds Housing Options, West Yorkshire Police, Forward Leeds (drug & alcohol services), York Street Health Practice, Basis Yorkshire, Barca-Leeds etc. We really are stronger together.
